Carl Arredondo Wwltv, a meteorologist for nearly 30 years at WWLTV in New Orleans, Louisiana, was recently diagnosed with adult onset retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a rare genetic disorder that slowly has been narrowing his vision to a small, centralized pinpoint. In preparation for his new life with limited sight, Arredondo has been adapting his lifestyle to take on the adversities he might face. He did not want to give up CrossFit or the tight-knit community and bond he had cultivated with others
