The Warn-on-Forecast-System (WoFS) is bridging the information gap between ⚠️ watches and warnings ⚠️ , turning minutes of lead time into potentially hours. 🌩️ Equipped with WoFS, on March 14, 2025 U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) forecasters and emergency managers were able to issue special safety messages roughly two hours ahead of a dangerous EF3 tornado in Carter County, Mo. 🌪️ The Tornado That Didn't Surprise 🔗: https://inside.nssl.noaa.gov
