The Three Caballeros (1944) was Disney’s second Good Neighbor film that explored the culture of Latin America. Ward Kimball was assigned to animate the films title song, but found it difficult. He sat in the dark listening to the music over and over until he decided to take the lyrics literally and created an unforgettable surrealist sequence.
