Here’s our Bugs in Mud art project—combining painting and collage for a fun, hands-on twist! First, students sponge brown paint over their entire paper to represent dirt or mud. Then, they use circles, lines, and googly eyes (with nonfiction bug books for reference) to create as many critters as they like—one bug or a whole swarm.
