The urethra is the tube through which pee (urine) travels from the urinary bladder to the opening in the external genitals, the urethral meatus. The female urethra is about 4 centimeters long and travels through the pelvic floor. Urethral hyper mobility is a condition in which the urethra doesn't have enough support from its surrounding structures. This results in stress incontinence, or the involuntary leakage of urine in situations of physical exertion or increased intraabdominal pressure. #dr
