Princess Leia Organa was first released in 1978 in the Early Bird Set. In the Holiday Season of 1977, kids got the Early Bird Certificate Package in which they would send a mail-in certificate to get the first Star Wars action figures of Leia, Luke, R2-D2, and Chewbacca. This was because the figures were still in production. Leia comes with her blue/black blaster and a white vinyl cape. She got her cardback debut in 1978 on the 12A Star Wars Cardbacks. Collectors should look out for paint scuffs
