As we reflect on Asian elephant Shanthi’s legacy, we celebrate her contributions to the conservation community. Over 44 years, the wealth of information she has taught us about elephant biology, reproduction, medicine, ecology and more could fill volumes. Equally noteworthy, however, is her service as an animal ambassador. As we read the wonderful memories you’ve shared, we are profoundly touched.
