Hoffman Sign Test
Hoffman sign evaluates for cervical myelopathies and upper motor neuron lesions. The examiner repeatedly flicks the volar or dorsal surface of the middle finger and observes the response. A positive test is identified by reflex contraction of the thumb and index finger.
