Midsize cost almost as much as a full-size, get about the same MPGs, and are less capable as a truck in almost every measurable way. If you don't care about any of that, buy a midsize. They do have a couple advantages over a full-size: more maneuverable, more compact.

In reality 80% truck buyers don’t even use their truck to its full potential. They get nearly identical gas mileage, can be purchased new for about the same price and midsize truck have less capacity. For an example I think new rangers are cool but for the price I'd just get an f150. Thoughts?

My requirements are the ability to tow at least 6000lbs, which seems to be all of them, 4x4, crew cab, preferably a 6' bed but that's not a deal breaker.

Mar 16, 2024 · The gmc canyon/ colorado have the highest performance out of all the midsize trucks available right now. Ford has a turbo v6 ranger coming out at the end of the year but it is yet to be seen as to how that will stack up against GM.
