"I'm still sitting and grappling with the weight of realizing that it was kind of a life-or-death moment," said Julia Martell, who witnessed the stabbing, which wounded 11 people.

A 42-year-old man entered the Traverse City Walmart around 4:43 p.m. on Saturday and used a folding knife to stab five males and six females, according to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office.
Bystanders helped subdue the suspect in the mass stabbing event at a Walmart near Traverse City, according to law enforcement.
