The Trump administration said it is moving quickly to purge the military of about 1,000 service members who have self-identified as having gender dysphoria.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is moving rapidly to ban transgender troops from the U.S. military, giving active-duty service members on Thursday 30 days and reservists 60 days to voluntarily leave or be forced out.

The Supreme Court usually defers to the military and did so again to rule against transgender members of the armed forces.
