Seattle's Cal Raleigh calls his 40th homer 'a cool milestone' during the catcher's historic season
Cal Raleigh reached another landmark in his incredible season Saturday night when he drilled his 40th homer deep into the right field bleachers at Angel Stadium.
Thanks to some improved play lately, the Mariners have moved up into the No. 10 spot in the latest MLB Power Rankings.
The homer also came at a key time, snapping Raleigh out of a bit of a funk and also propelling him further into the MLB lead. With Yankees superstar Aaron Judge hitting the IL (right elbow), Raleigh has a chance to make a run at the American League MVP award.
Cal Raleigh became the first player to hit 40 homers this season with a tiebreaking solo shot in the sixth inning against the Angels on Saturday.
Major league home run leader Cal Raleigh was rested for the Seattle Mariners’ game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
The Mariners' meme came from a promotion the team started running at T-Mobile Park during the 2024 season, when fans who sent a message to the same email address could hire Raleigh to orchestrate their breakup.
