Opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration are set to rally in nearly 2,000 cities and towns this weekend.

As a military parade rolls through Washington, DC, on Saturday – President Donald Trump’s birthday – millions of Americans are expected to protest in what organizers predict will be the strongest display of opposition to Trump’s administration since he took office in January.

While the president contends that the L.A. protests against his immigration policy have been chaotic, the scenes are not as violent.

The military parade coincides with President Donald Trump’s birthday, but faces opposition from planned protests, which organizers are dubbing a “national day of defiance.”

Critics such as California Governor Gavin Newsom viewed Trump's decision to send in the National Guard as an abuse of power.

The rally outside the Capitol will feature music and speeches on the same day as a military parade in Washington, D.C. — and Donald Trump’s birthday.

Across the U.S., immigration protests against the Trump administration's ICE raids and policies have continued. In Tucson, Arizona, several people were detained after protests led to smashed windows outside an ICE office.
