Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa and center fielder Byron Buxton are in concussion protocol following a head-to-head collision in the bottom of the third inning during Thursday's 4-0 victory against the host Baltimore Orioles The duo was pursuing Cedric Mullins' pop-up in shallow center field when Buxton made the catch before they made contact and both fell to the turf.

The Twins won their 11th consecutive game behind Chris Paddack's strong outing, but Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa were injured.

Carlos Correa exited the game immediately and was replaced by Jonah Bride. Byron Buxton stayed in for the remainder of the third inning but did not return for the fourth and was replaced by Ty France.
