The Tampa Bay Rays got younger at catcher Monday, using a pair of reported trades to swap Danny Jansen out for Nick Fortes.

The catching shuffle would send Jansen to Milwaukee and bring in a replacement under team control through 2028.

Fortes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
