The end of the Boston Celtics' Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks on Monday was devastating. Far worse than going down 3-1 in their second-round series was the fact that Jayson Tatum was lost for the remainder of this run (and likely next season) after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
Derrick White had 34 points to lead the Celtics to a 127-102 win over the Knicks that kept them alive in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Celtics will lose Tatum's prolific production of 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in their semifinals matchup against the Knicks.
