After fans noticed Adam Sandler’s tribute to his late Grown Ups costar Cameron Boyce in his new Netflix movie Happy Gilmore 2, the Disney Channel star’s mom shared how she felt about the nod.

An interesting amalgamation of rehash, redemption, and enough hilarious moments just barely qualify Happy Gilmore 2 as a worthy sequel.

Boyce played Keithie Feder, son of Sandler’s character Lenny Feder, in “Grown Ups” and “Grown Ups 2.” Both movies were directed by original “Happy Gilmore” director Dennis Dugan. Sandler and “ Happy Gilmore 2 ″ director Kyle Newacheck filmed the sequel in New Jersey last fall.
