Israel said Tuesday that they killed Iran’s wartime chief of staff Maj. Gen. Ali Shamdani, a close ally of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

On the fifth day of its air campaign on Tehran, the Israeli military claims to have killed Gen. Ali Shadmani, who had just been named as the head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, part of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
