Matt Lauer was once one of the most recognizable faces on television. As the host of Today, millions woke up to him every day. However, in 2017 his career abruptly ended following serious allegations of sexual misconduct.

Two years after NBC fired Lauer, Ronan Farrow released his 2019 book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, which included former NBC employee Brooke Nevils’ on-the-record accusations, alleging Lauer raped her in his hotel room in Sochi, Russia, during the 2014 Winter Olympics. Lauer has denied all allegations.
