Orchard Park, N.Y. — Bills running back James Cook has ended his contract standoff by signing a four-year deal, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane said Wednesday. Cook's deal will pay him $48 million over the four years, two people with knowledge of the agreement confirmed to The Associated Press.

“Bills GM Brandon Beane said he was at first worried about the James Cook hold-in becoming a distraction, but believes the core of the team knew what this was about, and everyone was level-headed,” The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia posted on X, formerly Twitter.
