Zion Williamson will not play in the New Orleans Pelicans' matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, the team announced hours before the game. Williamson has been suspended for one game for a violation of team policies.

Zion Williamson has been tardy this season to multiple Pelicans practices or flights, which led to the one-game ban.

The forward sat out of Wednesday night's contest due to 'precautionary' reasons on the second night of a back-to-back.
