Barrett Hayton snapped home the go-ahead goal with 1:32 left to lift the Utah Hockey Club to a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Barrett Hayton scored with 1:32 remaining in regulation to give the Utah Hockey Club a 2-1 win against the San Jose Sharks at Delta Center on Friday. Hayton got his own rebound in the right corner, skated up to the top of the circle, and scored over the glove of Alexandar Georgiev.

With less than two minutes remaining in the third period, Barrett Hayton corralled the puck along the boards, looped up to the top of the right circle and wired it in, sending the home crowd to its feet.

After Utah put three shots on the Sharks’ following Nick Bjugstad’s faceoff win over Mikael Granlund, Barrett Hayton took control of a loose puck, created some space for himself, and from near the top of the circle, fired a shot that beat Georgiev short side with 1:32 left in regulation time.
