The San Diego Padres might trade one of their experienced, big-money infielders who features in the starting lineup

The Athletic’s Jim Bowden has suggested that the Padres ace, Michael King, could potentially be on the move at the trade deadline. Bowden believes that a team such as the Toronto Blue Jays could be a viable suitor.

The Mets have won seven in a row after sweeping the Giants in San Francisco to start their West Coast trip. New York is up 1½ games on the Phillies in the NL East. The Mets won five of seven last year against the Padres, including two of four at Petco Park.
