Dillon Gabriel will make NFL starting debut for Browns

For the second consecutive preseason game, the Browns will start a rookie quarterback. But this time it's a different quarterback.
Dillon Gabriel has an opportunity to make an impression on the Cleveland Browns coaching staff and NFL pundits this weekend.
Gabriel will play with mostly backups while most of the Browns starters will rest for the second preseason game. Sanders, who strained his left oblique muscle (side of the abdomen) early on in Wednesday’s joint practice, will be in uniform today, but won’t play.
With Shedeur Sanders and Kenny Pickett out with injuries, Dillon Gabriel will be the Browns' starter against the Eagles, if his own hamstring allows it.
