Andrew Vaughn has been an instant hit and one of baseball's best players since the Milwaukee Brewers acquired the first baseman in a trade with the Chicago White Sox in June.

With the MLB trade deadline coming on Thursday, the Brewers are rumored to sit tight unless something they can't deny comes up.

Vaughn, the former number-three overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, had an OPS of .532 with the White Sox before he was optioned to the minors earlier this year. But since coming to Milwaukee, he's managed a 1.210 OPS with five home runs, including the grand slam, in 15 games.

Ahead of Monday's series opener against the Chicago Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers acquired veteran catcher Danny Jansen from the Tampa Bay Rays.
