HarmonyOS is not meant to replace Android or iOS, Huawei said. Rather, its application is more far-reaching, powering not just phones and tablets but an increasing number of smart devices.

Huawei has announced a trio of new MatePad tablets; a new 12.6-inch MatePad Pro, a smaller 10.8-inch MatePad Pro, and a new MatePad 11. All of them run the company’s HarmonyOS operating system.

It’s available for the Huawei Pura 70 series, Huawei Pocket 2, and Huawei MatePad Pro 11 (2024). As mentioned earlier, there’s still no word on the global launch of HarmonyOS NEXT.

Huawei Technologies is unleashing the latest iteration of its mobile operating system, HarmonyOS 2, across 100 of its devices in China, including smartphones, smart watches, and tablets.

But Huawei’s HarmonyOS will be the equivalent of Google’s Fuchsia. The OS will run on any device regardless of screen size and offer the same set of features and experiences.

The HarmonyOS isn’t just spreading to more Huawei devices but more manufacturers are also getting on board. Huawei launched the HarmonyOS 3.0 this year with a lot of exciting new features.
