During the Browns’ rookie minicamp on Friday, head coach Kevin Stefanski addressed the decision to have Shedeur Sanders take second in quarterback reps behind Dillon Gabriel. He downplayed its significance.

Sanders was rated as the No. 23 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback in the class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. His slide out of Days 1 and 2 was the story of the draft as he fell to the fifth round and was the sixth quarterback taken at No. 144 overall.

Clearly, the Sanders conversation won't dissipate as the season gets closer. It's just up to Sanders to play up to his potential now. If he was truly meant to be a first-round pick, he can prove every team in the NFL wrong by shining brightly for the Browns.
