Netflix’s updated homepage has stirred mixed reactions online, but I think the upgrade brings some much-needed clarity and ease to the browsing experience.

It’s worth noting that Netflix has been hard at work on this redesign, referred to internally as “Eclipse,” since late 2022, and testing the new homepage since last year.

Netflix has defended the platform's first major user interface (UI) redesign in 12 years – and has even claimed the majority of people prefer it to the old landing page's layout.

Any Given Saturday will officially hit Netflix on August 5, 2025. The show comes just in time to spark anticipation for the 2025 college football season.
