Sunday's games across baseball are synchronized with all 15 contests starting between 3:05 and 3:20 p.m. ET so by dinner time, MLB's playoff picture should be official. The playoffs begin on Tuesday with the best-of-three wild card series.

The final day of the 2025 MLB regular season has arrived. Every team has played 161 games and, for a few, Game 162 will decide their postseason fate. One spot in the tournament remain up for grabs on the season's final day as well as the AL East and AL Central. There's also one Wild Card Series bye undecided and some seeding to sort out.

The only time the Reds and Dodgers have met in the MLB playoffs was in the 1995 NL division series. The Reds swept Los Angeles, 3-0, in that series.

The Tigers come into the weekend in the midst of a dogfight for the American League Central title. Their massive lead atop the division, and the entire league for that matter, has withered away to nothing over the past month. Detroit’s eight-game losing streak did not help its cause either, sending the team to second place in the division.

RESULT: Neither of those things happened. The Brewers got their franchise-record 97th win, 4-2 over Cincinnati. But by the time of the final out, the Mets had just a half-inning left to try to come back against the Marlins.
