Florida Republicans defy Gov. Ron DeSantis by rejecting his special session request, introducing their own immigration bill, and overriding his budget veto in a rare power struggle.

This was the first time the Republican-controlled legislature denied a Republican governor a special session since the GOP took control in the 1990s.
