Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove has visited Chicago to personally observe the start of an immigration enforcement crackdown long promised by President Donald Trump's administration in the nation's third-largest city.

Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove and Border Czar Tom Homan oversaw immigration enforcement efforts in Chicago on Sunday, as efforts got underway across the country.

With two top Trump administration officials in Chicago, federal law enforcement began a “targeted” immigration blitz Sunday, according to a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The agency did not say how many arrests have taken place so far.
