One study suggests social robots might make kids more excited about reading at home—by turning solo reading time into a group activity.

The robot was designed by Earth Rover. It uses patented concentrated light technology to eliminate weeds, without damaging surrounding crops or soil.

The 'Book Toki: Reading Mate Robot’ by Professor Hui Sung Lee and his team in the Department of Design at UNIST took 1st place in the IEEE RO-MAN 2023 Design Competition.
