The New York Giants got a scare in the fourth quarter when Jaxson Dart exited the game after taking a hit from two Washington Commanders defenders. Dart was able to return a few plays later, but it prompted more questions about how the Giants and interim coach Mike Kafka are protecting their franchise quarterback.
Jaxson Dart was evaluated for a concussion in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Commanders. That's now the fifth time in 10 games (dating back to preseason) he's had to be checked during a game. #Giants

Each of these teams has been dreadful against the run. The Giants have given up the second most yards to opposing running backs (2005 yards) and the Commanders have yielded the fourth most (1762 yards). A heavy dose of each team’s running game keeps the clock moving and may limit possessions.
Giants rookie Cam Skattebo took his first step toward an NFL return on Wednesday. In a video posted on Instagram, Skattebo recorded himself walking into the Giants’ practice facility on his own — no walking boot or scooter in sight.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt ran for a touchdown, Jaylin Lane returned a punt 63 yards for another score and the Commanders beating the Giants 29-21 on Sunday.
Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence popped up on the injury report on Friday with a hamstring injury. The team lists him as questionable to play in Sunday’s game against the Commanders. Lawrence has 24 tackles, half a sack, an interception and three passes defensed in 13 games this season.
New York Giants punter Jamie Gillan apparently injured his left, kicking, knee on the ridiculous play against the New England Patriots in Week 13 where placekicker Younghoe Koo stopped in the middle of his kicking motion on a field goal attempt.
