Edmonton came out on top of a nerve-wracking Game 5 on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Kasperi Kapanen lighting the lamp and ending the Golden Knights’ season in overtime. The 1-0 Oilers win was also Edmonton’s second shutout victory in a row, as netminder Stuart Skinner continued to prove his mettle between the pipes.
The Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers combined for 22 goals through three games of their Western Conference second-round series. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Jack Eichel have all been involved in the scoring, but one veteran player’s numbers stood out over three games.
