Prince George follows his father in the direct line of succession to the throne and his parents are slowly immersing him in royal duties in a gradual way. On Dec. 16, he joined William at The Passage to help the charity prepare its annual holiday lunch for the unhoused.

As they always do, the royals took time to mingle with well-wishers assembled to greet them along the path to St. Mary Magdalene. One well-wisher, John, told George that his grandmother Princess Diana would be “ever so proud” of him, and George’s reaction is priceless.

"Granny Diana would be ever so proud of you," he told George of his late grandmother, Princess Diana, who tragically died in a car crash in 1997. George, who was born over 15 years after Diana's death, politely smiled after hearing the comment, while responding with a simple, "Thank you."
