OpenAI said it is launching a Stargate AI data center in Norway which will be designed and built by Nscale and Aker.

OpenAI is launching its first Stargate data centre project in Europe, partnering with developer Nscale and investment group Aker ASA to open a US$1-billion  (A$1.56 billion) facility in Norway next year,

OpenAI is taking its AI infrastructure strategy global, with a major investment in Europe’s north. The firm, known for developing ChatGPT, will become the primary capacity buyer in a new Stargate-branded data centre planned for northern Norway.
