A boil water advisory issued for Fair Oaks Drive has been lifted. Water quality tests deemed Fair Oaks Drive area water was safe for consumption, resulting in the lifting of the advisory Sunday, according to the City of Kalamazoo.

City officials said the advisory for residents on and near Golfview Avenue is precautionary after a water main break caused temporary pressure loss in the area.

A water main break has prompted a boil water advisory in Kalamazoo. The advisory is in effect in the following areas: Everyone in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it.
