A suspect has been charged in the shooting of another man inside a Hoover apartment. David L. Smith, 31, of Adamsville, is charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and menacing, police announced Saturday. Hoover police responded just before 11 a.m. Friday to a 911 call reporting a person shot in the 1900 block of Rime Village Drive.
