Chelsea have been stalling over Axel Disasi’s agreed loan move to Aston Villa, and one of the reasons behind that may be that we’re waiting to see if other, perhaps better offers arrive in these final few days of the transfer window.

Aston Villa may need to make a quick change of plans before Deadline Day as a transfer described as a “priority” for manager Unai Emery has suddenly found itself in doubt.

While in Villa’s latest 1-1 draw against West Ham United, Tyrone Mings picked up an injury which could potentially keep him out for a while as he looked in pain after the knock. But Aston Villa supporters will be relieved to hear Fabrizio Romano’s revelation about Axel Disasi agreeing personal terms with the club.

The 26-year-old defender, practically a wizened old man in this Chelsea squad, has reportedly agreed to join Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season, but according to L’Equipe, Chelsea are “stalling” as discussions with Villa are “not progressing” and we have “not given the opportunity” for the player to leave just yet.

TBR Football have also been told Aston Villa are speaking to Chelsea about Joao Felix and Axel Disasi – although Wolves could be affected if a move for the latter collapses. Ben Jacobs and Alex Crook now claim that Wolves have agreed personal terms with Kevin Danso.
