Trea Turner makes Phillies history in final game of the season
After spending most of September on the injured list with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, the Phillies activated shortstop Trea Turner from the IL for the final game of the regular season against the Twins to get some at-bats ahead of the postseason.
Entering the final game of the season, Turner leads the National League in batting average (.305) and is second in hits (179) behind Luis Arraez of the San Diego Padres (181). Turner would be the first Phillie to win the NL batting title since Richie Ashburn in 1958.
