The New York Knicks' coaching search has led them to Dawn Staley, the longtime women's coach at South Carolina and one of the most accomplished players and coaches the women's game has ever seen. South Carolina athletic director Jeremiah Donati recently confirmed that the Knicks have indeed reached out to Staley.

Dawn Staley is the best women's basketball coach in college basketball - and perhaps the entire world. The former University of Virginia and WNBA star has been leading South Carolina's women's basketball program since the 2008 season.

Staley posed in a picture with Laeticia Amihere, Bree Hall, and Zia Cooke after the Golden State Valkyries faced off against the Seattle Storm. The Valkyries won a decisive victory against the Storm 84 to 57. Hall and Amihere both play with the Valkyries, and Cooke plays with the Storm.
