BETHEL, Ohio (WXIX) - A wanted Clermont County man and his girlfriend are behind bars following an hours-long SWAT standoff Tuesday.

Sheriff’s deputies and police responded to a home in Clermont County on Tuesday evening as a lengthy standoff ended in an arrest.

Police said they knew the suspect would be at the location because of tips.

The Waco Police Department said two SWAT officers placed 8th in the TTPOA Pirkle Sniper Challenge this February.

A standoff occurred between law enforcement and an armed homeowner in Tyler, police said.

Loveland police and SWAT arrested a person who had been barricaded Thursday evening in a home near East 16th Street and Cheyenne Avenue. The police response was related to a criminal investigation, according to a post to the Loveland Police Department’s social media.

After approximately two hours, police moved in to arrest the man after using a Taser, tear gas, a less-lethal launcher and a K9, the LBPD said.

NEMLEC SWAT and Andover Police resolved a mental health crisis involving an armed woman in Andover, MA, with no injuries.

A Millbury, Massachusetts police officer who was shot several times last week is now out of the hospital and recovering at home.

A man was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after being shot during an exchange of gunfire with police in Lower Burrell on Saturday night. Police say the incident began around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when residents of Rodgers Drive reported a man firing shots into a nearby home.
