Microsoft on Wednesday announced the coming 'retirement' of its Visual Studio for Mac IDE product.

Microsoft has announced it is retiring Visual Studio for Mac and that support for the latest version, 17.6, will continue for another year, until August 31, 2024.

While Visual Studio for Mac (IDE) is being discontinued, VS Code (rich text editor) for Mac will stick around.
