"Heavy snow coming down at rates of 2-4 inches per hour will quickly cause roads to become snow-covered. Strong wind gusts over 50 mph will also greatly reduce visibility," said ABC10 Meteorologist Brenden Mincheff. "Sierra travel will be extremely difficult if not impossible at times. Don't travel unless absolutely necessary."
