The timing could not have been worse for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Days before UK authorities had appeared set to lift a ban on their fans attending their Europa League game at Aston Villa, their derby against Hapoel Tel Aviv was postponed following serious crowd trouble.

As part of the next midweek treat of Championship football, Derby County will take on Norwich City on Tuesday, 21 October at Pride Park. The match puts together two underperforming teams, with both clubs currently just one point above the drop zone after 10 matches played.

Football fans attending the upcoming East Anglian derby are being urged to "keep the passion on the pitch" by police. Ipswich Town take on Norwich City at home in Portman Road on Sunday, with about 2,000 Norwich fans expected to be travelling down.
