Topanga Canyon Boulevard reopens after mudslide occurs following storm
MALIBU - A mudslide closed a portion of Topanga Canyon Boulevard in the Santa Monica Mountains on Wednesday morning. The closure, which stretches from Pacific Coast Highway to Grand View Drive, is a result of a mudslide that was reported around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
People in and around recent burn scars should be alert to the risk of debris flows. Typical October weather will be back later this week.
Mudslides during rainy weather in the San Bernardino Mountains on Thursday afternoon prompted road closures and trapped cars.
