The cockpit voice recorder from last month’s Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash has revealed a crucial exchange between the flight’s two pilots.
The same switch design is used in Boeing 787-8 aircraft, including Air India's VT-ANB which crashed. As the SAIB was advisory, Air India did not perform the recommended inspections.
The report had shown two fuel switches in the cockpit were moved to“cut-off”, causing the Air India flight 171 to lose lift and crash 32 seconds after takeoff.
