Republicans in the House of Representatives on Wednesday moved closer toward advancing U.S. President Donald Trump's massive tax-cut and spending bill, appearing to overcome concerns over its cost that had been raised by a handful of hardliners.

Several House Republicans arrived White House on Wednesday morning for meetings as the president presses his party to pass the sweeping legislation -- a centerpiece of Trump's second term agenda.

Reps. Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman have both expressed concern over how much further the Senate version of the reconciliation bill goes in cutting Medicaid than the House version they both backed.
