Swift’s strong numbers shirk one of her more polarizing release weeks in years, with The Life of a Showgirl garnering mixed critical reviews.

"The Life of a Showgirl" was the top-streamed album on Spotify in a single day this year.

"It's a great song," Travis said simply when his older brother, Jason Kelce, specifically asked him for his thoughts on "Wood," on the Oct. 8 episode of their New Heights podcast.

"I presume that you were listening to them while Taylor was in the room with you?" Jason, 37, asked his brother and co-host.

“The rule of show business is if it’s the first week of my album release and you are saying either my name or my album title, you’re helping,” Swift said.

“What you’re going through in your life is going to affect whether you relate to the music that I’m putting out at any given moment,” she said.

“In a world climate like this, if you’re going to drop a new album called ‘Life of a Showgirl,’ I want to be gone from reality. I want to be lost in this world that you created with glitz and glamour,” singer-songwriter Julie Lavery said in a viral TikTok, before singing a country song she wrote in response to Swift’s latest album.
