President Donald Trump asked a federal court to expedite the deposition of Rupert Murdoch in his lawsuit over the Wall Street Journal ’s report about the alleged birthday message to Jeffrey Epstein because of concerns the 94-year-old media titan either won’t live long enough to testify at a potential trial or might not be alive.
Fox News remains a reliable supporter of the president, but the mogul’s WSJ has taken on Trump, triggering a legal battle.
On Monday, Trump's lawyers asked a federal judge to force Murdoch to sit for a deposition for his lawsuit on an expedited basis, arguing that the News Corp. executive is 94 years old and his "recent significant health scares" could hinder his ability to show up in court for a trial.
“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
